About this Event
Update: This is the reschedule event that was to of taken place in January. We will be sending a link for you to join the conversation and hear about what WCS is to them, life outside of WCS and what they hope 2021 will bring.
Young Dance Inc and the Peoria Sunday Swing Thing are proud to announce a Live Question and Answer with Thibault Ramirez and Nicole Clonch.
This is a great opportunity to ask questions about WCS and tools to be a better dancer.
Thibault started dancing at 6 years old at his parents dance studio, with Boogie Woogie where he competed in Junior and Main class divisions. He placed many times in the French National team, he has won a French Championship title and placed 5th at the World Championship. He has also danced and taught other partner dances like Rock, Salsa & Bachata.
Nicole has been dancing partner and solo dances for 19 years. She is a 5 time US Open champion in the Showcase division and has appeared on TV shows like So You Think You Can Dance season 15 (making it to the top 25), Dancing with the Stars, and The Pop Game (2015). She has also appeared in numerous music videos with artists such as Tatum Lynn and LeAnn Rhymes. She has numerous awards in West Coast Swing improvisation competitions and in the champions division.
They first began their journey together in January of 2019, but have been connected for far longer than that. When they first met, he didn't speak English and she didn't speak French, but, they had the universal language of dance that brought them together. Throughout the year, they would meet back and forth in their respected countries to prepare for their world championships while also getting to build this partnership. Very quickly, they were asked to teach in countless events and competitions for their performances in improvising West Coast Swing and their knowledge and teaching skills.
In 2019, they debuted their competition piece at the US Open Swing Dance Championships. With their routine “Dynamite” they became the Showcase Division winners.
