QUANTUM GROOVE with Cashmere

Hiiieeee beautiful dance community! I am so thrilled to be faciliting Dance Temple this weekend, woop woop!! QUANTUM GROOVE ~ with Cashmere The theme Quantum Groove is rooted in the idea that movement and music change how we feel, think, and connect because everything within us is energy in motion. When we dance, the brain shifts out of overthinking and into presence, creativity, and flow. The nervous system relaxes, energy begins to move freely, and intention becomes something we embody rather than just imagine. As we move, we remember that we are vibration, constantly creating, constantly becoming. Guided by music and the collective field, dance becomes a tool for alignment, expansion, and manifestation. Every thought, feeling, and movement carries a frequency, and when we move with awareness and intention, we begin to consciously shape our experience of reality. We have the power to dance and dream all our hopes and desires into existance! Born and raised on the vibrant west coast, Cashmere's (aka Lisa Larkin) lifelong passion for music and dance led her to embrace DJing many moons ago. After a hiatus dedicated to nurturing her children, she's back with fierce inspiration and determination, crafting sonic odysseys that captivate Dance Temple and a myriad of events and festivals across Vancouver Island. Notably, she's delighted audiences opening for Goopsteppa and Adham Shaikh at the Waverly Hotel. also gracing stages at Cumberland Wild, Otherworld, Belonging, Pachena Bay and the Woodstove Festival. Currently inspired by various styles of House (including progressive, melodic, ethnic, bass, deep, tech, afro )Bass, Downtempo, Drum and Bass (and more!), Cashmere interlaces a feminine energy into her mixes. Her sets have been praised for their soft, gentle allure as well as their enticing, profound depths. She aspires to evoke movement, emotions, a sense of the sacred and deep release through the music she thoughtfully curates. Look for a yes, look for eye contact Respect any no (including when someone is ignoring you or moves away from you.) Respect a Solo Dancer’s right to their space. Do not engage in physical touch without clear consent. This is a transformational space for dance, healing, prayer, laughter, joy, sadness and everything in between.
