We will explore the embrace as the main origin of movement regardless of your level, discovering the possibilities of your own body in full communication with your partner. Our queer tango friends up north have created a wonderful way to dance and create community by making a nourishing vegan Congee, a warm rice porridge, served with various traditional Chinese toppings. SATURDAY 4/18 -1:15-2:00 Tea and Tea social hosted by Wooden Table Baking Company -2:00-3:30 WS 2: The World of Ochos holds more than you can imagine. Working with forward and back ochos, including technique, variations and decorations, students will learn gorgeous combinations, Augusto’s favorites, for creative options for the social dance floor. (Intermediate) -3:30-4:00 practica DJ Andres -6:00-7:30 WS 3 Level Up Your Walk. Walking, basic but difficult, is the most fundamental movement in tango. In this workshop, we will explore essential technique and dynamic possibilities for a fun, fully connected dance with your partner. This class is an Augusto gem – recommended for all dancers.
