𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 & 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 - 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗯 10 Week Session 🌿 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡: 𝗠𝗔𝗥 𝟮𝟯-𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟱, 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝟭𝟬:𝟯𝟬𝗮𝗺 - 𝟭𝟮:𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘: 📍 𝗔𝗶𝗸𝗶𝗱𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆, 𝟭𝟭 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝘁, 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗼, 𝗩𝗧 This lab began a couple years ago in Greenfield (now starting up in Brattleboro) as a space to practice and refine Contact Improvisation skills. Over time, it organically expanded into something richer—an exploration of the philosophy, spirituality, and emotional intelligence woven through the form. During the first part of our practice, we ask "what are you labbing" and allow ourselves to speak as we dance—sharing observations, curiosities, and reflections in real time. Out of this process, the name “𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 & 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀” emerged. The space has become one where questions are welcomed and explored through both voice and body—sometimes answered, sometimes deepened. Our practice often weaves elements of "Circling" with CI labbing, creating a space for curiosity, presence, and collective inquiry. Each Monday we gather in this beautiful Aikido dojo for focused practice. Together we choose a weekly exploration, which may include: ✨ Technical CI skills ✨ Somatic and awareness practices ✨ Philosophical questions about the form ✨ Group warm-ups with shared intention ✨ Themes such as lifts, disorientation, falling, trios, resistance, and more 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 ✨ 10-week commitment requested (but you're not required to come to every session) ✨ Sliding scale: $100–$200 for the full session (payment plans available) ✨ Please arrive on time at 10:30am and stay until 12:30pm to help maintain a focused container ✨ Open to dancers with at least basic CI experience — not suitable for complete beginners Join us for a Spring season of deep practice, shared inquiry, and embodied exploration.
