About this Event
Join The Ragroof Players on Armistice Day, which on 11 November 2018 commemorates the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
We’ll whizz you back to 1918, when After You’ve Gone, a ‘quick-time foxtrot’, was top of the pops; Charleston and Ragtime were in full flow; and Kaiser Bill’s ban on the ‘vulgar’ Tango only added to its popularity in France and England!
Desert Ivan Discs will be playing an eclectic mix of vintage tunes; Dorothy’s Shoes will be taking you through your paces on the dancefloor; and our gorgeous dancing couple Anna and Sasza will be presenting some dazzling displays from the Naughty Nineteens.
No need to bring a dance partner as our welcoming hosts and inclusive instant dance classes throughout the afternoon mean that no-one will end up as a wallflower.
Tea is included in the entrance price, and delicious cakes will be on sale on the day - cash only. There is a bar at this venue.
