Are you ready for the next Rebel SBK Noches Event!!! Your three Kings are uniting to bring an SBK Special! 3 Kings Neon Glow Party! An SBK Special with Andreas RU Salsarebel, Ivàn Rodrigo Garcia and Richard Chongtham!! We have a special three x 30 minute classes! 🕺🏽Andreas teaching a Salsa 🕺🏽Iván will be bringing his Bachata 🕺🏽And Richard will heat up the floor with Kizomba What a night! All followed by an SBK Social for you to get your glow on and set the floor on 🔥 ✨ About the Artists -----------About Iván Rodrigo Garcia: ------------------------------- Local salsa and bachata legend - and driving force behind Sheffield dance company Hothouse Salsa. Iván’s love for music and dance started at a very young age when he was given the opportunity to perform different regional dances at Festivals in his native Mexico City. Iván had grown up in Mexico listening and dancing to rhythms such as Cumbia, Bolero, Salsa and Chachacha and, as he grew up, also enjoyed breakdance battles in the streets of his city alongside his brothers and friends. On moving to the UK in 2002, Iván began teaching more formally in pubs and other venues around Nottingham, achieving his dance teaching qualifications soon after that, in London. Iván is a registered member of the United Kingdom Alliance of Dance (UKA Dance). A period studying for a degree in Art History at Sheffield Hallam saw Iván setting up – with others - the salsa society (SHU) in 2009. It is still thriving to this day. Iván has been an active member of the dance scene in Sheffield ever since he arrived here, running classes all over the city, setting up his ever-popular events in Tapton Hall with guest instructors, artists and DJs such as Nicolai V, Mauricio Reyes, Bill Newby, Jaleh Fallah, Antonio Filipe, Richard Chongtham, Freddie Garland and many more. Currently Iván runs a very successful series of salsa classes, alongside private lessons in salsa – Cuban, fusion, cross-body, on 1 , on2 and son, bachata – Dominican, moderna and sensual styles. Iván is also a highly popular Zumba teacher in Sheffield and further afield. -----------About Richard Chongtham: ------------------------------- With over two decades of dancing experience, including 17 years of teaching, Richard has a wealth of expertise both on and off the dance floor. Despite stepping back from full time teaching and promoting, he remains known for his playful and charismatic nature. Richard's classes are characterised by his commitment to clear and concise lesson planning, infusing humor and a personalised learning structure that reflects his personality. Together with the talented Danai, a former student of Richard's, they will offer a short and sweet Kizomba lesson to kickstart the party at Pontis! -----------About Andreas RU SalsaRebel: ----------------------------- Born in Russia and raised in Europe, Andreas first got a taste of Latin dance at University, and fell in love with the Latin Culture. Andreas has visited 45 countries and has delivered dance all over the world as a Dancer and Choreographer, and as a Dance Cast Captain on US Cruise Ships. Teaching Salsa and Bachata in Congresses , Festivals, Workshops and hosting Parties in the UK and abroad, he absolutely loves to dance, teach and perform. All his dances are smooth and with his own unique approach to teaching ;) There's always a lot of learning and a lot of laughs. Known for his Salsa - a smooth cross body full of flavour and a Fusion style Bachata incorporating different elements of Dominican, Sensual and Urbana with some show elements ;) As the owner of the newly branded SBK night “REBEL SBK Noches” in South Yorkshire, he regularly collaborates with other artists, and helps to lead and organise charity dance events. The first Rebel SBK Convention takes place in December 2023! In his own words, he says “Dance is my story what I fail to put into words” All three of your Kings have taught and hosted events for a long time and are all great dancers and teachers and collectively have so many years of experience!
