Feedback on previous ‘REFINE & POLISH’ Sessions since 2018 have been FA-BU-LOUS and we therefore recommend the event to each & every Budding and/or Connoisseur Zouk Dancer!! In no particular order, we will review any of the Following Techniques;- • ✨ Travelling Churns • ✨ Toalhas • ✨ Head Drops • ✨ Circular Head Systems (Body Head Rolls, Churns, Bonecas) • ✨ Viradinha Walks • ✨ Aviao Variations • ✨ Lateral ‘Windows’ • ✨ Tilted Turns • ✨ Polishing Fundamentals PLUS • ✨ Taking any student requests! || About The FORMAT || REFINE & POLISH’ focuses on practicing moves for Social Dancing and therefore whilst there is the instruction aspect of recapping the moves, the emphasis is on ‘improv-dancing’! With the format of the Intensive being ‘Revision + 3-Track Improv per technique/combination’ - this means LOTS OF SOCIAL DANCING PRACTICE!! Participants will get to work with different kinds of music when applying the practice to develop their Musicality!! Also, the Guided Social Practice will mean students can work with the Instructor there & then to trouble-shoot any challenges! The R&P sessions also incorporate a PURE SOCIAL section; ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪ To Answer the Questions!! 1. Can TOTAL BEGINNERS attend? Not Ideal! The Refine & Polish is not suitable for TOTAL BEGINNERS!! Participants will be required to have a grasp of the basic fundamentals of Rhythm…PLUS the footwork of the foundation steps of Brazilian Zouk (ie Spot Basic, Rio Basic, Lateral, The Step & Turn (Simple Turn), The Boomerang) 2. Can I Drop-In Anytime if I can’t make it at the Beginning (7pm)? Absolutely! In event you cannot do the technique being covered at your arrival, be patient! Given the format of the workshop, it just means you jump in at the next technique covered or during the ‘3-Track Improv’ and warm up for the next technique; 3. Can I attend just the 9.30-11pm Social? Sure! However, please note with payment being equal for all participants, full payment will be expected irrespective of arrival times 4. Am I eligible to attend if have not taken any LATINO EUPHORIA classes?
