"Dance is the hidden language of the soul" ~ Martha Graham Join us for an evening of fusion, blues, contact improv, and ecstatic dance in Manhattan! This will be a one-shot opportunity to dive into an evening of mindful partner dancing and free-form movement expression. This event will follow a daylong Cocréa Mindful Partner Dance Workshop - NYC workshop providing a space to interweave students, those curious, seasoned pros, and lovers of dance in the community! All are welcome!! *** We'll have a few short performances at the beginning of the event and sprinkled throughout to show the variety of styles and forms one can take with mindful partnered dance! *** ◀︎ COCRÉA ► Weaving the threads of collaboration, cross-pollination and consciousness, the Cocréa practice focuses on how dance can enhance and expand relationships into a deeply connected, honest and powerful tool for personal, interpersonal and collective transformation. You may participate in the dance or just enjoy witnessing. We consider the dance floor to be a sacred uplifted space and request conversation be taken outside to honor dance and respect those engaged in the dance journey.
