Renato and Tamara- Hilo Zouk class

Brazilian native, Renato Ramalho is a Dancer, Teacher and Owner of Ramalho’s Brazilian Ballroom Dance Academy in Rio De Janeiro. Aside from his specialty in Brazilian Zouk, he has also dedicated 20 years to Brazilian Ballroom which includes dances such as Bolero, Samba De Gafeira, Soltinho, etc. Renato, along with his family, is also the host of his very own Zouk International congress, Ramalhos Beach Congress held in Rio De Janeiro. Also having worked with Disney, Renato travels around the world teaching Zouk. Tamara was born in Troyes (France ), and her dance journey at the age of 3 with Ballet, followed by jazz at 12 at the Troyes conservatory and Hip-Hop in Paris at the age of 16. In addition to dancing, she trained in gymnastics and martial arts. In 2011, she was introduced to bachata and Latin dances when she began training and then teaching bachata with Samy El Magico, her first dance partner. In December 2012, Tamara moved to the United States to pursue her dancing career and has since been teaching in Dallas and at festivals in the United States for 12 years. In 2013, she created her dance team “Mademoiselle” and trained her students in the different dance styles that she had mastered over the years. Which makes her team versatile and has been known for that particularity. She now leads “Monsieur “ dance team with the same concept then her ladies team, for men. Over the past two years, she has dedicated herself to training in Brazilian zouk when Renato Ramalho moved to Dallas and zouk has been a passion ever since. At the start of 2023, Tamara and Renato began their partnership and mixed their different dance styles to form a unique connection and partnership in zouk and lambada. Her goal is to continue to inspire, teach, grow and dance in zouk while adding some spice of her own background.
