** Postponed ** We’ve been so excited to RENEW together this NYE at Sydney’s epic Wonderdome 360 cinema. Much hard work has gone into the preparations and amazing artists, presenters and volunteers have come on board. But in light of all that is happening, both the venue and A Sound Life , as well as many of the artists and facilitators believe such a large public ticketed event is too risky right now, and not the right climate to hold space for our vision and intention. It was decided to postpone RENEW to a new date (Feb-Apr). and to put our efforts into co-creating an even more amazing event that all our communities can come together to connect and celebrate in this magical space. All ticketholders have been emailed with the details to either claim a refund, or to hold onto your ticket for the new date. Lovefest is still keen to hold space with a free community focused New Years Eve gathering and are working through several outdoor options. As we close the chapter to a challenging year, let us come together as a united community to celebrate and initiate a positive new beginning into the new year beginning with 1.1.22. It’s time to Reconnect, Rejuvenate and Renew for 2022! The journey will include: - 360 degree Immersive Cinema experience. - Plant based Community Dinner to nourish ourselves as we begin to connect. - Indigenous smoking ceremony to clear, heal and connect us with the land. - Kirtan - Interactive musical mantra meditation with special guest musicians. This is a powerful universal yogic practice for us to collectively experience deeper connection and inner peace. - A Tribal Drumming led by Curt Alchemy from Thrive Tribe joined by Charles Myssy from Bondi Sunset Drumming and others. - Rache Moore and Andre Meyer from Rainbow Tribe lifting us up into an Ecstatic Dance. - YemiTheCat bringing his amazing vibes and tunes with his unique style of world music and soul/house. - Meditation and Sound Bath with Gong Master Matt Omo, so we can begin the New Year with clear intention and peace. This will allow us to journey together with clarity and focused intention. * Photography and video for promotional purposes may be taken. However we do envisage all systems go. ABOUT A SOUND LIFE A Sound Life is the first Australian charity to bring the healing power of music, yoga and meditation to people in need as a free service. ASL’s team of skilled volunteers deliver regular wellbeing programs to people in health care (hospitals, disabilities, mental health) and underserved communities (incl. youth at risk and women's shelters). Since 2014, 300+ ASL volunteers have delivered over 2800 free music, yoga and meditation sessions positively impacting over 30,000 people in our community. In 2019 ASL launched the first activation of the Sound Life Dome – a unique wellness and events social enterprise at Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter. During 2020/2021 ASl adapted in-person programs and to virtual delivery and expanded to Victoria and QLD. KPMG’s 2021 SROI report calculated that for every $1 donated to ASL there is a $9.65 (965%) benefit generated for the community. From 2016-2020 ASL’s programs generated $8.5 million benefit to the community from a total spend of $0.875 million. We exist to help people cope with stress and adversity.
