Residency- Playback Theatre through Body Based Practices and Healing Storytelling

*Playback Theatre through Healing Storytelling and Body Based Practices* Playback Theatre is an interactive form of improvisational theatre in which audience members tell stories from their lives and watch them enacted on the spot. The five day residency is a beautiful integration of the practices of intuitive dialoging with the body, Being the Story, exploring the body through the practises of Social Presencing Theatre and Image Theatre, with the core work in learning Playback Theatre. The residency explores Playback Theatre and it’s skills through the space and lens of body’s interconnection with Nature, Breath, our inner journey of awareness, body’s relation to the stories of power, the masculine and the feminine in our stories and our response to listening trough our body and being! The unique integration of modalities of Playback Theatre, Contact Improvisation, Art of Being the Story and Presence with one’s Body aim at building compassionate circles, hone the participant’s skills of expression and acting, nurture authentic relationships, build space of an introspective journey, create an improvisational toolbook, develop and enhance creativity, cultivate deeper empathy, and create deep listening abilities. The participants will be able to learn Playback Theatre as a performance technique and use this in their communities to create resilience and action-reflection praxis, to be able to enact the stories of the communities thereby gaining deeper insights through embodiment, and to support the voices of their communities through sharing in a safe space. *What do you get in these 5 days* - 1.
