Resonate & Vortex Ecstatic Dance

Resonate is once again teaming up with DJ Luminus to bring you through the Vortex! This is a freeflow, barefoot, conscious dance. We dance sober and abstain from social conversations on the dance floor. All movement styles welcome. Ecstatic dance is an opportunity to free the mind of thoughts and judgements and let go into the body's own wisdom. From this space of body conscious awareness, we invite all parts of ourselves to be danced! The night will open up with a meditation and warm up led by Kelli Joy. The ecstatic dance with DJ Luminus will take us on a journey of organic and electronic beats that will get your booty shaking, limbs stretching and hearts opening. We will have live drumming weaving in and out with the music to infuse primal energy into our Vortex swirl. We will close out the evening with a sound meditation. Live Painting featuring visionary artist Jackie Ryan Visionfaerie.art Cost: $20 (Students w/ I.D. & sliding scale as needed $15) Logistics & Parking: This studio is in the same bldg. as Real Art Ways and Vasu, you will see these signs at the entrance, there are parking lots behind the bldg. and to the left so there is plenty of parking. The entrance to the dance is located in the alcove to the right when you first enter the driveway, the door is at the end of the alcove, you will be in the lobby of the dance space as soon as you come in this door. We are in the first floor dance studio, not in the 3rd floor Tainted Inc. studio space.
