About this Event
Our beliefs shape the lens through which we see the world, and that lens determines the blessings we recognize—or overlook. What we focus on, we fuel. Some say, we become. If we constantly scan for lack, conflict, or danger, our nervous system stays wired for it. But if we train ourselves to notice abundance, connection, and possibility, we start to align with those realities.
This is essentially a happiness hack! And what we are truly wired for.
Trauma complicates our perception. It filters our attention, making certain messages—especially ones that confirm past wounds—louder than others. We don't just hear; we interpret, often through the echo of old experiences and coping strategies.
This explains how two people can witness the same event and walk away with entirely different truths.
So how do we cut through the noise and tap into our essence? PRESENCE. Slowing down enough to notice what’s underneath the automatic reactions. Asking: Is this belief mine, or was it given to me? Does it expand me, or does it contract me? Essence isn’t something we create—it’s what remains when we strip away all that isn’t true.
EMBODIED AWARENESS –
When dancing, we focus on sensations, breath, and movement, bringing our full attention to the present moment.
INTUITIVE EXPRESSION – Freeform or ecstatic dance allows us to bypass the thinking mind and move in a way that feels natural, unlocking creativity and self-discovery.
EMOTIONAL RELEASE – Movement helps process emotions that may be stuck, allowing us to clear energy and feel more aligned with our true self.
RHYTHMIC CONNECTION – Dancing to rhythms and music creates a deep sense of harmony, connecting us to the pulse of life itself.
SACRED RITUAL – At Rhythm Sanctuary we honor the many cultures who use dance as a way to access spiritual states, celebrate existence, and honor the mystery of being.
