Born of water, rising from the depths of an unseen world where emotion, memory, and mystery gestate ~ only to take to the air with iridescent wings that catch the light of many worlds. Dragonfly teaches us to move between realms… to not be bound by one story, one form, one way of seeing. As a dispeller of illusion, Dragonfly invites us to look again… and yet again… until truth reveals itself not as fixed, but as alive and radiating. Dragonfly brings the teaching of action without force… precision without urgency… a darting presence that moves freely and trusts each moment fully. Wings, gossamer fragments of rainbow light, multidimensional in nature... rainbow warriors bearers of beauty, in flight... new insight to see through the veils that shroud us from the truth of our soul. In that spiral dance, often in communion with others, we are shown us the power of collective movement… of community flight… where each being moves as one with the field. Born of water… dancing in air… returning always to earth… Dragonfly is the medicine of transformation it is both subtle and swift. Dragonfly asks us: What illusions are ready to dissolve? About our Sonic Alchemist: Jeremy Wolf AKA Solomoon MY HISTORY AS A DJ A deep passion for music and a desire for the transcendental is a simple way to describe my personal human experience. My life was completely transformed in 1993 when I fatefully discovered the global movement of trance-ambient music. I saw this new “world” music as a timeless language that transcended not only musical genres, but also cultures and their broad, geographical boundaries. Deeply inspired by this discovery, I took up the art of dj-ing in 1994, and, it was, in fact, the deep, spacious, and introspective qualities of ambient music that drew me into the realm of meditation which marked the beginning of my disciplined spiritual quest in yoga. I realized that the broad spectrum of trance music greatly resonated with the spiritual human experience from the deeply personal and introspective to the collectively ecstatic ancient dance ritual. Communing with others in the rediscovery of the archaic trance-dance ritual led me to international DJ opportunities in hopes of raising awareness and understanding of what can be collectively achieved through this global language. Currently based in Denver, Colorado, I am a resident dj for Rhythm Sanctuary, a group devoted to offering weekly ethnic/world music dances in Denver with the intention of holding sacred space for the individual and collective trance-dance experience. I have performed at events all across the US and internationally in countries including Italy, Greece, India, Panama and South Africa. In the summer of 2008, I was invited to join the Ultimae Records label in France, as a label DJ, and have currently been pursuing music production to create my own diverse range of world-influenced trance and ambient music. Whether on the mat or behind the mixer, I am dedicated to cultivating an experience that promotes deep self-discovery and spiritual awakening. MY MUSIC My dj sets are an expression attempting to translate this ancient message to others through the medium of sound by combining intelligent melodies, tribal rhythms, organic textures, and ethnic emotions. In an age where technology blurs the line between the organic and inorganic, I feel this medium is a successful fusion transcending the boundaries between man, machine, and spirit. For me, this music is a conscious exploration of spirituality through technology. They specialize in intelligent and atmospheric trance and ambient moods for inspired movements and expanded listening. ~~~~~~~~~~ <3 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Personal Medicine Story : Ahva Lenay There are moments that come with such surprise seemingly out of nowhere that we know we are experiencing a miracle, a blessing, a graced moment unlike any other. Growing up near a swamp I have always had a special relationship with nature... Tadpoles into Frogs, Toads, Turtles, and Dragonflies... all big medicine allies for me. Some 20 plus years ago at the end of a long day of tending bodies and holding others, I stepped outside on the edge of evening… nearly dusk....that in-between hour when light softens and the unseen may come a little closer. Stretching my eyes and taking in a little fresh air I spy her ... just one dragonfly… a simple beauty hovering in the yard. And then.... I notice.... many. Emerging as if from nowhere, revealing what had been there all along, yet beyond my noticing. They dropped lower and moved toward me. I stepped forward off the porch steps onto the lawn… and suddenly, they came to greet me... and I was inside their swirl. Then, they moved upward ... a living circle formed just above my head ... dragonflies in a circular motion, orbiting in shimmering precision… an iridescent halo, a living moving portal. Not random, not chaotic. A pattern. A circle . In that moment, I was not just witnessing nature… I was included in it. Feeling claimed by it. Auspicious. Beyond, for never had I imagined dragonflies would behave in such a way. I felt included in their sacred geometry... a ritual of sorts even though brief.
