Faith & Grace Beloved... There are moments when the path disappears beneath your feet. Do not mistake its hiddenness for absence. The river does not cease simply because it has entered an underground passage. There is a way of walking that does not require certainty. This is faith. Not the closing of the eyes... but the opening of the heart. The quiet willingness to place one foot into the mystery, because something older than fear remembers the way. And there is another companion. So gentle... and yet fierce at the same time. Grace. The softening. The unexpected opening. The hand that meets yours just as your strength begins to tremble. The conversation that could have broken apart, yet somehow becomes a bridge. The forgiveness that arrives before it is deserved. The timing no one could have arranged. The breath that finds you when you had forgotten how to receive it. Grace asks for very little. Perhaps nothing at all... Grace has never asked us to become worthy. Only available. And perhaps that we remain permeable enough to recognize that life has been reaching toward us all along. Perhaps this is why gratitude has always felt like a doorway. Not because gratitude creates grace... but because gratitude washes the dust from our seeing. And suddenly... what was always arriving becomes visible. Stand here. In the holy ground of this breath.
