RNŚZ Presents: Bersy Cortez Afro-Mambo Queen Nola Takeover

Bersy Cortez: dancer, model, and actress. Bersy began her career in Venezuela, where she was born and lived until she was twenty years old. At the age of sixteen, Bersy had already become a dancer for the most important salsa group in her country, "Imagen Latina". After moving to Spain at twenty, she became one of the most recognized dancers in the world. She has danced for some of today's best salsa singers, and in music videos for artists such as El Gran Combo, Oscar de Leon, and Adalberto Santiago. Let’s welcome Bersy to New Orleans in the New Orleans way — with love and the best southern hospitality. Bersy will be teaching for the first (but not last) time in New Orleans on Thursday, June 29th, 2023, at Dance Quarter from 6-8pm, with a social hosted by Bayou Moviemento to follow from 8pm-12am. This event is $90 and includes: the workshop fee, entry into the social, food, and specialty drinks.
