Sengelmann Hall is a traditional 19th century dance hall that honors a Texas legacy. It was built in 1894 by Charles and Gus Sengelmann, two brothers from Hamburg. During its heyday, people met, wed, and danced there every Saturday. Fortunately for us, Sengelmann Hall has been preserved and placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The upstairs dance hall remains a time capsule from the 1890’s. From music and dancing to food, drink, and architecture, Sengelmann Hall is rooted in local and regional culture.
