Regardless of your skill level as a leader, as a follower or understanding of rotation, this night is open to anyone who is willing to contribute to a fun, supportive and safe social even where all dancers are all free to dance in the role they choose! 💃 ABOUT THE WORKSHOP💃 Have you thought about learning the “other role” but not sure where to start? Do you lead and follow but want to understand how to create those seamless transitions on the dancefloor? This class is fo you! By the end of the class we hope all dancers will have an understanding of some of the concepts of role rotation in Bachata dance and will have some basic steps as both a leader and a follower to try out later on the social dance floor. ***While you may have no experience as a lead or a follow - you will benefit from this class if you have at least an intermediate understanding of bachata in at least one role*** 💃 ABOUT THE COMPETITION: What is a Jill & Jack?💃 We are flipping the rules of a Jack & Jill - A social dance competition where competitors will be randomly partnered and required to demonstrate their ability to lead and follow within the same dance. We have some EXCITING PRIZES to give away to top 3 Winners. ** Judges, competitors and playlist to be released soon. In itself adds a new level of creativity to the dancefloor and inspires opportunities for fun, dynamic and respectful conversation between dancers. As a social dance movement it encourages everyone to learn both roles within a social dance so that you are free to choose which part in the dance you want to take lead or follow, regardless of your gender.
