Roots and Flowers Contact Improvisation workshop for all levels Three days dedicated to some of the principles that has been practiced and investigated in Contact Improvisation for over 50 years. As movers we can explore, practice and research around a single principle for years and discover new aspects, possibilities and connections. Exploration of principles is a never ending journey, and CI is based on principles! We have been educated to separate so we see and recognize differences in the world, let's try in these days to find the similarity and the unity of life. In every single flower we will recognize the roots of the tree. This 3 days exploration is for human beings interested in evolving in their path through movement and body awareness. Beginners will find a support for their CI practice and advanced dancers will have space for new delicate tasting of the form. Simplicity can be the most complex and advanced principle in life. We will navigate keeping a reference to some of these questions: how can I develop the listening capacity of my body? How can I connect with my inner structure and feel the gravity travelling in myself? How much importance do I give to the gift of touch? Do I feel able to support someone? Am I open to being supported by someone? Where can I find the strength to lift my partner? How can I build my confidence to fly on top of someone's shoulder? We will embrace the creation path of Contact Improvisation throught the deep embodiment of principles...and you will never get bored of dancing cause you are giving a deep body meanings to your movements! About Mario Movement and Contact Improvisation researcher, Chinese Medicine body-mind therapist, Yoga teacher and ICF Certified Coach. He had the luck to study with great dancers and teachers like S.Paxton, N. Little, L.Nelson, J.Hamilton, K.Simson, E.Karczag, A.Takenouchi and many others. His personal research in movement and improvisation is influenced by experiential anatomy, Chinese Medicine, Meditation, Tai Chi and Butoh. As dance/movement teacher he's interested in discover our personal ways of dancing and performing.
