Join us as we connect with community and dance the night away fireside at Souls Path underneath the summer stars! The evening begins with a cacao ceremony and breathwork to connect us with intention and conscious community before flowing into live roots music, ecstatic dancing to deep tribal/house beats with live drumming, sound journey, and grounding with magical mbira music and drumming around the sacred fire. ROOTS N BEATS will be an enchanting and wondrous gathering of souls 💛🔥 Tickets are only $30 +hst Jeremy Legault is a Songwriter, Live Performer, Producer, Event Organizer, Multi-Instrumentalist and Audio Engineer based in Toronto Canada. Jeremy picked up the guitar when he was years 11 old and immediately became obsessed with making music. Jeremy has acquired various musical skill sets through self taught methodology and formal schooling. Through his consistent networking and study (playing instruments, performing and running a studio), Jeremy has shared his gifts on various stages, festivals, yoga classes and studios around the world. Jeremy plays a soulful blend of Roots-Reggae, Folk, Rock, Hip Hop and Medicine Music. He offers an ecstatic live sets which include interactive sing-alongs with the audience. The lyrics are often pointing the listener towards unconditional love and harmony and thus he brings the audience together as if they were sitting around the campfire hand in hand — It’s common that eventually, the whole audience is singing along. Jeremy strives to bring prayer, intention and overflowing inspiration into his live performances, utilizing the music as a vehicle to co-create social change and unify the people. RYT, RMT JS first began his journey through sound with the drum. JS created OneRhythm as a way to bring people together through the power of “all things rhythm”. Although he began playing drum kit in high school, his passion for hand drumming and world rhythms was ignited on the west coast 30 years ago where JS performed on the streets of Victoria B.C with fire dancers. Inspired by Mickey Hart`s Planet Drum, he crossed the Pacific Ocean with a drum on his back to “play his way” around the world and study with master drummers such as M`Bembe Bangoura, Ni Tetteh Tettey, Sulekh Ruparell, and Adel Rodrigues of "Compay Segundo" in Cuba. Guided by “source” and the universal language of rhythm, JS and his love for rhythm keeps reminding him of his most simple and joyous expression, burning like the “Fierce Sun”. JS likes to weave African, Indian, Middle Eastern, Latin, and sonic sound vibrations together to create rhythm alchemy that will inspirit your inner momentum. . Inspired by the African Djembe, also known as “The Healing Drum”, JS facilitates drum circles with a wide variety of students which guide us to play in the vibratory field with rhythms that help us to experience a deep sense of connection with ourselves and with each other. Another“fire”has been lit in his heart as he continues on the path of sacred sound. Guided by Kirtan artists such as Krishna Das, and Brenda McMorrow, his strong impetus towards the power of chanting mantras has led him to the study of Kundalini Yoga, and the magic of “sound as medicine”. JS love’s to share his teachings, and offer group drumming, chanting, yoga, and sound healing at events, festivals, or yoga studios. JS also love’s to accompany professional dancers with soundscape journeys, or connect with the “Vibe Tribe” at ecstatic dance events, as a DJ that brings the potent power of live drumming to Deep Tribal/House music. JS continues to develop the practice of “sound as medicine” coupled with yoga, or registered massage therapy, to offer an integrative, and unique rhythmic healing experience.
