ROOTS OF SAMBA Drumming Workshop

Join Mika & our ART BRASIL Drummers for an evening of drumming goodness! 𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗔 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 Thursday 18 July 19:30-21:00 at King St Studios, NUL Whether you're a table tapping pro or drum star, we'll get everyone moving and grooving with some toe tapping samba beats from Brazil. Drumming is great for the body and brain, helping to improve focus, reduce stress, boost mood and support general well-being. We'll create an ensemble of drums, most played with our hands, and some hand held drums played with sticks - and we'll focus on the traditional Brazilian & Afro-Brazilian rhythms that form the roots of samba drumming. You'll be playing with some of our regular drumming members, so there'll be lots of friendly support from others.
