** RUEDA BOOTCAMP -- FIRST TWO SATURDAYS IN JUNE! ** (June 6th & 13th)

Please join us on the first two Saturdays in June -- June 6th & June 13th -- when SALSA GRANDE will teach four different workshops to cover all the fundamentals (and more!) for the "Rueda" format of Salsa dancing. You can take just one 90-minute workshop....or stay for all six hours (3 hours on each Saturday) to learn more than 25 fun Rueda moves! Lead instructor Michael Whitmire has been dancing and performing Salsa Rueda for more than 14 years, including multiple appearances for television, Latin festivals, and other special events. He makes every effort to break down the moves and techniques in a very easy-to-understand fashion. Rueda is the Spanish word for "wheel" and, in this exciting style, Salsa dancers form a circle of couples. The dancers then synchronize their moves and frequently switch partners based on a variety of vocal calls and hand signals. Each workshop is 90 minutes long and all of them will take place at the SSQQ Dance Studio. The two-day schedule is as follows: SATURDAY, JUNE 6th >> Registration: 12:45pm - 1:00pm >> Rueda Level 1: 1:00pm - 2:30pm >> Rueda Level 2: 2:30pm - 4:00pm SATURDAY, JUNE 13th >> Rueda Level 3: 1:00pm - 2:30pm >> Rueda Level 4: 2:30pm - 4:00pm SPECIAL BOOTCAMP PRICING (cash only): 1 workshop: $20 2 workshops: $35 3 workshops: $50 Full Bootcamp (six hours): $65 These Rueda workshops are designed for dancers who already have Salsa partnering skills that are at least Intermediate level or above. So, although this is an introduction to Rueda, these workshops are *NOT* a substitute for a beginner Salsa class. You will discover that these fun sessions are also informative and challenging, as each new Level builds on knowledge learned in the previous workshop(s). Plus, plenty of time for hands-on practice is included in every workshop! By the way, free bottled water is provided for all attendees! You do not need to bring a partner, but for planning purposes it does help us to know in advance if you are coming. That address is located in the Heights area of Houston, near the intersection of 18th Street and East T.C. Jester Boulevard. The studio can be a little tricky to spot for first-time visitors, but SSQQ is around the left side of a large warehouse-type building that houses a "Restaurant Depot."
