Rueda de Casino - Foundations Course

Monday 7.30pm: RUEDA DE CASINO – FOUNDATIONS Technique with Cara Last Course for 2025!! After this term I won’t run foundational Rueda again until mid 2026. Students will have the option to join our intermediate Rueda de Casino class on Tuesdays at 7.30pm in term one 2026, provided they have completed at least two of our foundation courses. Duration: 13/10 – 15/12 **STUDENTS NEED TO HAVE ATTENDED AT LEST TWO BEGINNER SALSA TERMS TO JOIN** Are you looking to learn the basics of Rueda de Casino? Or are you looking to really understand what makes for the best technique in this style and want to fine tune your skills? Then this course is for you! What is Rueda de Casino? Rueda is a type of circle dance that came from Salsa de Casino in Cuba, meaning “Casino Wheel”. Each dancer is paired with a leader or follower and positioned to make a circle. Rueda is not a choreography, it all spontaneous routines called by one person who is named the caller, they call the steps that the dancers have to make, swapping partners many times as they move around and keep the shape of the circle. Suitable for: Students who have a basic knowledge of salsa steps (at least 6 months experience) and for Rueda students wanting to fine tune their foundations. Cost: $160 for the term.
