Rumba with live music

Welcome to the second workshop of the FSS spring season! Now it’s time to dance rumba again! We are having a new maestro for this workshop. We are happy to receive one of the best Cuban rumberos living in Finland, Geordanis Figuerola. And once again, the dance, especially rumba, needs live percussionists and singers to be complete. We are having great rumberos heating up the dance floor, Gerardo Hernández and Jani Lehtioksa and Ahmed Machado. You don’t want to miss this authentic opportunity to learn and dance the mother of the Cuban dances, rumba. Geordanis is teaching three classes: 14-15 salsa con elementos de rumba (coreography) 15-16 rumba yambú técnica (música en vivo) 16-17 rumba guaguancó (música en vivo) All three are open-level classes. Some salsa experience is recommended but you don’t need to have experience in rumba. What you need to have is a body and mind that want to dance!
