Learn authentic dance moves and rhythms with experienced international Cuban dance artists: DAMARIS HECHAVARRIA (Cuba/ Italy) Has travelled the globe instructing and performing at international dance festivals with her Italian based dance academy: Alafia Dancers. In Cuba, Damaris was an integrant of many world famous companies and shows including Banrara and the spectacular Cabaret Parisien. Damaris has undertaken formal studies at various prestigious dance institutions (Ballet, Folkloric, Contemporary + Cabaret) and later worked as an educator in Santiago de Cuba and Havana. Damaris is also a trained percussionist and vocalist! :: DAYAN SANCHEZ MARSILLI (Cuba) Specialising in Afro-Cuban, Rumba and popular styles: Salsa, Rueda de Casino, Cubaton, Son and Cha Cha Cha. Dayan is in Australia to share his deep knowledge of Cuban dance culture. In Havana, Dayan trains dancers and tourists from around the world.
