Salida Ecstatic Dance

We welcome people of all ages to join us for a night of free form expression to a mixed dj set. Schedule of events: 6:25 Doors open 6:35- 7:00 Guided Warm up 7:00 - 7:05 Opening circle 7:05 - 8:20 DJ SET/dance wave 8:20 - 8:30 Sounding & closing circle ** last entry 7:30pm** if you plan to participate in the warm up, please arrive on time. The musical journey will be crafted in a wave, beginning with soft music, building with rhythm, peaking with moments of chaos before gently landing in stillness. Investment: Adults: $15-$35 Sliding scale pay what you can Age 13-17: $5// 12 & under: Free *we keep the dance floor silent to focus on presence, but we welcome you to share your experience in the closing circle. * **The warmup is guided to help center your mind and body into the present moment while exploring playful movements to collectively expand our movement vocabulary. Feel free to use this time to settle in the space however you desire, all guidance is a suggestion you are welcome to do whatever serves you best.** Is this your first time? WELCOME!!! - Dress comfortably, be sure your attire allows you to move in anyway you want (even upside down!) - bring a water bottle - dress in layers, we heat up on the dance floor - we create a shared altar, feel free to bring any items to contribute and remember to take it home with you at the end of dance "Ecstatic Dance is a Freeform Conscious Dance.
