Salida Tango Queer 2.0

Salida Tango Queer 2.0: Berlin edition tango classes for queers & friends with Yana Khalilova Once upon a time (in 2016) there was a Queer Tango Festival in Saint Petersburg. We named it Salida, after the queer tango school that was founded by me and my friends Otar Bagaturia, Michail Kapitskiy and Natalia Merk. That happened to be our last festival, before some of us left Russia to settle elsewhere in the world: Otar and Misha in Tel-Aviv, and me in Berlin. Now it’s time to call Salida back to life. This time in Berlin! “Salida Tango Queer 2.0” is a new regular class that will take place at Mala Junta Tango school every Tuesday. The class is open for all queer people, BIPoC, open- and double-role dancers and friends. Both in dancing and teaching, I value a lot a high quality of the movement, a comfortable dance technique and musicality. It’s not an easy task to dance tango well, but I’ll support you on your way to that goal. I dance and teach tango for more than 15 years now. Throughout these years I developed my dance through a lot of practise and lessons with great tango maestrxs in Russia, Europe and Buenos Aires. And I’m happy to share my knowledge and experience with you, so that you can deeply enjoy this beautiful dance.
