Salsa Caleña - Footwork Workshop

Hola Salseros! in this workshop we will focus on footwork. This is a very important part of salsa that shouldn't miss out on if you want to add a touch of style " bien sabroso" to your salsa moves. Wondering what Salsa Caleña is? 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒔𝒂 𝑪𝒂𝒍𝒆ñ𝒂 is a fascinating salsa style, which has its origin in Cali, Colombia. This salsa style is danced with lots of footwork, high speed, different basic steps and energy. Salsa Caleña contains elements of Afro-Caribbean music as well as Colombian folklore, and previously influenced by differents rhythms such as Cumbia, Charanga, Rumba, Son, Mambo, Chacha, Swing, Boogie Woogie, Foxtrot, Pachanga. However, in the last few years some twists and turns from other dance styles have been adapted. Nowadays Salsa Colombiana makes it possible to enjoy the step combinations for “Solo-” or “Pasitos-” and that's what we are going to focus on!
