Salsa Immersion with Jaime Jesus & Mary-Grace Brisbane Intermediate Workshops

Join Salsa champions Jaime Jesus & Mary-Grace for immersive intermediate-level workshops suitable for all Salsa on-1 dancers of an "Improver" to "Intermediate" experience level. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from two of Australia's most accomplished Salsa dancers to upskill your own dancing. Whatever your experience level, these workshops will layer-in new ideas and understandings that will elevate your dancing and enjoyment. These Salsa on-1 workshops will explore, for both leaders and followers: * Creating and contributing to creative turn patterns using your fundamentals as a base * Comfortable to lead patterns where both leads and followers have to turn in the patterns. * How to respond to the music as leader or follower * An overall look at specific leading and following techniques for the dance floor... learn the tricks of the trade, the secret things pros do to make everything so much easier Jaime Jesus and Mary-Grace are world-renowned instructors and performers who have earned multiple national titles. Jaime has also choreographed for the TV show Dancing with the Stars and has been recognised five times globally (London, India, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Australia) for his outstanding contribution to the world of Latin Dance. Mary-Grace is a phenomenal dancer with a fierce on-stage presence and a flawless, adaptable connection on the social dance floor. You will change partners during the workshops. You do not need to enrol with a partner. Please note that the sale of Follower passes often closes early so that we can keep the Leader/Follower ratio as even as possible. ** Friday 25th April Workshops (most suitable for Improver to Intermediate level dancers) ** 6:30pm - 7:30pm Creative Social Turn Patterns for Leaders & Followers 7:45pm - 8:45pm Social Dancing with Alternating Turns ** Saturday 26th April Workshops (most suitable for Improver to Intermediate level dancers) ** 3:00pm - 4:00pm Musicality in Social Dancing 4:15pm - 5:15pm Next-Level Partner-Work Technique There will also be a special edition of Latin Utopia Salsa & Bachata Party from 8pm on Saturday 26th April to celebrate Dance Culture's 11th Birthday. Please note that you are very much welcome and encouraged to attend but that the workshops pass does not include entry to the party. ** Are these suitable for me? ** These intermediate-level workshops are suitable for all Salsa on-1 dancers who can lead or follow at least: basic step, simple right turns, simple left turns, cross body lead and inline turn (travelling turn). The workshop content will be most suitable for students in our Salsa Level 3 and 4 classes or equivalent. Non-DC students are welcome. ** Investment ** For this weekend of workshops with these world-class instructors, here is your investment in your dance education: Full pass (4 hours): $120 (equal to $30/hour) Enrolments will close when the workshops are full. ** Where ** These workshops will be held at Dance Culture, 1st Floor, 474 Ipswich Road, Annerley.
