THE RESORT – SANTA PONSA You will be staying in the resort of Santa Ponsa on the south west coast of Majorca which is approximately 15 minutes from the capital city of Palma de Mallorca and 20 minutes from the Airport! Santa Ponsa is an attractive, picturesque beach town stretching across a large bay lined with shady pine trees and offers hidden coves and quieter bays to explore. It also has the widest range of sports and activities on offer anywhere in Majorca! The large main beach has sun-bleached, white sand and many water sports are available here while a short stroll along the promenade you present you with a cosy, hidden cove perfect for a quiet afternoon of relaxing. This area is popular with locals on weekends, especially when local markets and craft stalls visit the town. Santa Ponsa has a perfect mix of beach, shops and nightlife for a fun-filled holiday and offers an abundance of shops, markets, cafes, bars, restaurants, discos, pubs and a handful of clubs. There are speciality restaurants to choose from serving both local and international cuisine along with fast food eateries, many are on the front with beautiful sea views! If you take a stroll round the bay you will find the old part of the town which is home to more traditional shops where you will find local crafts, leather and perfumes at cheap prices! ACCOMMODATION We have the exclusive use of our beautiful hotel (only our Salsa group will be using it) Situated in the heart of Santa Ponsa, the hotel is located opposite the beach and is the perfect base for our Salsa activities. Facilities include: Outdoor swimming pool, large lounge / bar area, pool bar, dining room, large elevated sun terrace, Irish bar serving food, Internet facility. Room Features: All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, en-suite bathroom, direct dial phone, satellite television, Safety deposit box*, WiFi* and a large balcony. * Small Charge applies. The hotel has a spacious dining area where you will find an extensive range of hot and cold foods available for breakfast and dinner. WORKSHOPS You will have daily workshops led by our guest teachers each morning. This intensive course is available for all levels throughout the week! During the afternoon we have a range of other dance styles available, these range from Kizomba, Ladies & Men’s styling, Bachata, Cuban Salsa, beach La Rueda, Cha Cha Cha and many more! These are available for all levels. FLIGHTS Flights are not included, it is more convenient for you to purchase your own flight from your local airport. OTHER COSTS Your accommodation is half-board (all you can eat buffet breakfast & dinner) therefore lunch is not included. Other costs include drinks and any gifts you may wish to buy! TEMPERATURE Majorca is blessed with a mild all-year-round climate with more than 300 days of sunshine on average. In October you can expect warm and sunny temperatures of between 27 – 32 degrees and a little cooler in the evening.
