Salsa in the Park

JOIN US FOR PORTLAND SALSA IN THE PARK! Summer season is here and so is our outdoor dancing season. Singles, couples, families and friends all welcome! SATURDAY JULY 13TH 6:30-7:00PM Beginning Lesson 7:00-9:30PM Dancing A great mix of Latin music for everyone to enjoy! Salsa in the Park event is held at the Beaverton Round Tennis shoes and flats recommended *FREE* OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ALL AGES, ALL SKILL LEVELS Salsa in the park is a great place for meeting new people, learning to dance or practicing your dancing, connecting with your community and enjoying some FUN in the SUN! Bring your blankets, chairs, sunscreen, water and don't forget your sunglasses & hats! The coffee shop will be closed at the time, however Mio Sushi and Siam Lotus will both be open for those people wanting to get some dinner during or after the event. By popular request, we will have Portland Salsa in the Park T-shirts for sale! The $ collected go to help pay for DJs, marketing, permits and equipment costs such as last year's $600 generator and this years $500 outdoor dance floor. By purchasing a T-shirt, you help support the efforts & will help spread the word to get more people involved! You can also help support & ensure the continuation of these free events through monetary contributions at the DJ tent or volunteering your time. Note about floor- it’s NEW and will feel slightly rubbery until it’s worn in. This will take a couple of events- so everyone come out & help us break it in!!! Much better with dance shoes! Outside concrete is good for street shoes. Note for the park: Public restrooms nearby close at 7PM so please plan accordingly. The nearby business restrooms are for customers only.
