Fresh from his European trip, Giancarlo brings his decades of knowledge, experience and technique, that has made him a favourite of students and festival attendees around the world These Masterclasses are designed for dancers of any dance style, to build and develop their Salsa on 2 technique and flavour, in an intensive timeline. He is the director and senior Instructor of Latinissimo Dance and is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the Australasian salsa dance scene. He has been featured on numerous New Zealand’s TV programs, such as the Good Morning Show, Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance NZ. Additionally, he was the sole New Zealand representative at the World DanceSport Games in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He was also a semi-finalist on New Zealand’s Got Talent and a finalist and multi-time champion at prestigious international competitions including the US Salsa Open, World Salsa Summit, Australian Salsa Open, Asia-Pacific Salsa Championships, and the World Salsa Open in Puerto Rico. In 2016, Giancarlo and his partner were one of the selected couples worldwide invited to compete in the Salsa category at the Fania World Salsa Championships in Atlanta, USA. Giancarlo later introduced New Zealand’s first progressive and structured salsa courses, helping establish a national standard now adopted by leading schools across New Zealand. He is renowned for his clear, technical instruction and has performed and taught globally across Australasia, Asia, Europe, and the United States. He has choreographed and directed Latinissimo student teams, coached multiple national champions, an amateur world salsa champion and remains a respected leader in the Australasian salsa dance community.
