Salsa Lee teaches at dance holidays, workshops, all-dayers, regular weekly club nights and more across the UK. Salsa Lee is a leading UK/international expert on salsa music and dance. She is the co-author of "Find the Rhythm!" - The Dancers' Guide to Feeling Salsa Music", written in collaboration with Alex Wilson, the UK's No1 salsa bandleader/Latin jazz pianist. Ruth Ferguson (Qualified IDTA Salsa Dance Teacher). Earl Lovelace: Music Teacher & Cuban Tres Player. MUSIC INTERPRETATION AND TIMING PART 2. Tempo -timing: teaching the difference between NY style, Cuban, Colombian, Puerto Rico, LA, and to find any timing in any songs. Song structure -rhythms and instruments: congas, bongos, timbales, clave, piano, brass, base. Understanding Clave & what it is, Body Isolations to clave, Basic footwork to conga, what it is and why, basic bronze level moves and footwork to UKA evaluation requirements with music, with Cuban tap. 1st section: bronze level UKA syllabus, with musicality; 2nd Latin frame for leaders and followers, posture, timing 3rd understanding the narrative of a salsa song 4th improvisation not sequences, 5th Puerto Rican vs Cuban music - dancing the difference. 6th Rueda con Musicality 7th - cha cha cha. The thrust is passing bronze UKA medal with musicality accent, building towards Silver & Gold and Teachers qualification.
