Salsa Under The Stars feat. DJ Yuma (June 2018)

SUTS in June will feature special guest DJ Yuma (SALSA CUBANA SINGAPORE) for a Cuban flavoured edition! Kicking off the night is a 45-minute Salsa On-2 beginner workshop from 7:15pm with guest instructor Lorna. Fee is $5 at the door, no prior registration needed. Supporting DJ Yuma is resident DJ May May who will serve up an eclectic mix of styles, switching things up throughout the night with some Bachata, Cha Cha and Reggaeton thrown in. Free-entry (after the workshop) and fuss-free! Drink specials all night! All levels, ages and styles welcome. No partner required. No politics, no drama - just fun! Amazing vegetarian street food by Banyan Tamarind food. Think falafels, soursop tacos and other treats! ABOUT DJ YUMA DJ Yuma (Kevin Aubry) has been dancing salsa for more than 10 years. In 2010 Yuma started to DJ on turntables, mixing genres and performed at various venues in Switzerland. He moved to Singapore in 2015 & merged his DJ and salsa dancing skills. His passion extends beyond salsa with a deep interest in afrocuban dances & music. DJ Yuma has been spinning for dancers at latin festivals such as Singapore Latin Extravaganza 2017, ALFA Kuala Lumpur 2018 and salsa events at National Gallery Singapore, Asian Civilisations Museum, Post Bar (Fullerton Hotel), Bob's Bar (Capella Hotel), The Padang, VLV Lounge, Kult Kafe, Steward’s Riverboat, Lime House & The Studio. He is the first and only DJ in Singapore & Asia to be part of PromoMusic Bcn official DJ's team.
