Salsa Under The Stars feat. Max Ahmad and DJ Ashish (Jul 2018)

It's going to be a busy back-to-back July for SUTS! We've got two special guests, Bachata maestros Max Ahmad and DJ Ashish coming up at Kult Kafe on Fri, 6 July! Kicking off the night is a 45-minute beginner Bachata workshop from 7:15pm with guest instructor Max Ahmad, partnering with our resident instructor Cheryl Qiao Rou. Fee is $5 at the door, no prior registration needed. Guest DJ set by DJ Ashish, supported by resident DJ May May who will serve up an eclectic mix of styles, switching things up throughout the night heavy with Bachata, old school Salsa, Cha Cha, Reggaeton and Kizomba thrown in. Free-entry (after the workshop) and fuss-free! Drink specials all night! All levels, ages and styles welcome. No partner required. No politics, no drama - just fun! Amazing vegetarian street food by Banyan Tamarind food. Think falafels, soursop tacos and other treats! ABOUT MAX AHMAD Dancing salsa and bachata since 2006, Max Ahmad has successfully fused his years of prior experience as a hip hop and jazz dancer with his passion for Latin dance. This fusion has resulted in the development of his own unique groovy and smooth style that is recognized by the local and international latin dance scenes. He now focuses mainly on sensual dances and teaches mainly Bachata, Zouk and Kizomba. Known for his sleek moves, musicality and flavor, Max Ahmad is also a favorite lead among many ladies in the scene. His warm and sanguine personality never fails to make his classes vibrant and fun, and will definitely make you want to come back for more. ABOUT DJ ASHISH A talented dancer across different Latin dance forms, DJ Ashish has DJed at some of the most popular latin clubs in Singapore, including Union Square, Cuba Libre and Senor Taco. He has also been invited to DJ at the China Latin Dance Festival 2015 , Kizomba Extremo II 2015, Singapore Bachata Weekend 2016 and 2017, Singapore International Latin Festival 2017, Singapore Latin Extravaganza 2016 and 2017 and World Bachata Festival 2017. Ashish is passionately dedicated to growing the afro-latin dance community in Singapore and is the founder & admin for Salsa Singapore,Salsa Asia, Bachata Asia and Kizz Lovers Singapore on FB.
