We're back with a Cuban flavoured SUTS this month with two special guests, Max Ahmad and Mani! No stranger to SUTS, instructor Max Ahmad returns for a 45-min beginner salsa workshop at 7:15pm. Fee is $5 at the door, no partner nor registration required. Guesting on the decks is Mani from Australia, supported by resident DJ May May. Music policy will be heavy on Cuban salsa and son, mixed up with some Bachata, Reggaeton and Zouk. Free-entry (after the workshop) and fuss-free! Drink specials all night! All levels, ages and styles welcome. No partner required. No politics, no drama - just fun! Amazing vegetarian street food by Banyan Tamarind food. Think falafels, soursop tacos and other treats! ABOUT MAX AHMAD Dancing salsa and bachata since 2006, Max Ahmad has successfully fused his years of prior experience as a hip hop and jazz dancer with his passion for Latin dance. This fusion has resulted in the development of his own unique groovy and smooth style that is recognized by the local and international latin dance scenes. He now focuses mainly on sensual dances and teaches mainly Bachata, Zouk and Kizomba. Known for his sleek moves, musicality and flavor, Max Ahmad is also a favorite lead among many ladies in the scene. His warm and sanguine personality never fails to make his classes vibrant and fun, and will definitely make you want to come back for more. ABOUT MANI Emmanuel "Mani" has been sending waves through the Australian and Asian Salsa scene since 1999, residing over the decks at renowned events like the Bacardi Festival, the Australian Salsa Championship Finals and the Sydney Latin Fiesta. Mani has been a regular DJ at many Sydney salsa clubs, including Art House, BJ's, Salsalicious, Azucar, Club Salsa, Bar Broadway and Daintree's Jungle Fever as well as being one of the main men behind Casa De La Salsa. Mani has recently opened Sydney's Créole Zouk Nights - promoting French-Caribbean Zouk music.
