With our resident DJ TASTY Peter Savory and Mark Huddleston spinning delicious tunes for your salsa dancing tastebuds and Majeed and Mani will be joining them now too woop.
Mark found salsa ten years ago when a work colleague took him along to a class...from never having danced before he fell in love firstly with the music and the dance, and then with his dance partner! Whilst his first love is Cuban music and in particular Son, Mark also seeks out and enjoys many other salsa genres including Romantica, Puerto Rican, Columbian, Mambo, Bachata and Cha Cha Cha. Since beginning to DJ around three years ago, he has already played at a number of congresses (including Motion City and NYE events), various weekenders and numerous party nights across the Midlands and has been a regular guest DJ at Shrewsbury's Candela Fever night, Latin Motion's Land Rover monthly nights, the Caribbean Salsa parties at The Drum, and Leamington's Club Cubana. He has shared the decks with, amongst others, Rohan Brown, Mani Muchasalsa, Mauricio Reyes, Maverick Logan, and Yersin Rivas, as well as DJing at various charity nights including The Mockingbird in aid of The Music Fund for Cuba.
Mark's style is to read the crowd and play what they want and enjoy, not impose his taste upon the dancers. Expect a mix of old and new, danceable tunes to keep you on the floor!
So we are in good hands and can guarantee a fun filled night!
