Her dance is magical, her technique precise and her smile unforgettable. Ahtoy grew up on Guam and has indigenous CHamoru and Cuban ancestry. She began her professional dance training in childhood in Guam and studied classical ballet and modern dance with the Houston and San Francisco Ballet Companies. Ahtoy was a top International Latin Ballroom competitor in the collegiate circuit while attending Columbia University and later became a professional Theater Arts Champion. Ahtoy’s salsa career began in 2003 with Santo Rico, where she was a principal dancer and instructor. She is the artistic director of BAILA Society, a founding judge of the World Salsa Summit Edwin Tolentino has been a dedicated presence in the Afro-Latinx dance community for over 20 years. As Co-Director of Baila Society, he is dedicated to preserving the Black roots of Afro-Latinx social dance and honoring the artists, musicians, and dancers who shaped its evolution. A celebrated performer, Edwin has danced with world salsa champions Huracan and New York Movement, and holds multiple championship titles in Salsa and Latin Hustle.
