SalsaBug Super Sunday Workshop Day

Get ready for an exciting SalsaBug Super Sunday Workshop Day on Sunday 9th March! This is your chance to elevate your dance skills, explore new styles and connect with fellow dancers in a fun and educational setting. Open to improver level dancers and beyond, this workshop day will help you deepen your understanding of movement, connection and musicality across multiple dance styles. Workshop Schedule: Arrive from 1pm Warm Up 1:15pm - Salsa (Mechanics & Expressions) Master the foundations of Salsa with a focus on body mechanics and expression. 2:15pm - Intro to West Coast Swing We're thrilled to introduce West Coast Swing for the first time at a SalsaBug Workshop Day. This smooth and versatile partner dance is known for its elastic connection, playful footwork and stylish improvisation, making it a fantastic addition to our day. Guiding us through this exciting session is guest teacher Richard James, an experienced and passionate West Coast Swing instructor. Together with his partner Ruthie, they will break down the basic fundamentals of this dance. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced WCS dancer, there will be something for everyone. 3:15pm - Bachata Connections (Bring a Blindfold!) Deepen your connection and trust through this unique sensory experience. This workshop will improve your sensitivity to subtle signals in leading and following by removing visual reliance and focusing on body awareness. 4:15pm - Rueda Get ready to have a blast at our fun and sometimes hilarious Rueda workshop. Expect laughter, teamwork and non-stop movement! Reggaeton Finale! We wrap up the day with an electrifying Reggaeton session! Venue: Very Yoga, Focus House, 23-25 Bell Street, Reigate, RH2 7AD Price: £35 (Booking in advance is kindly requested) Refreshments: As this is a dance studio, there are no facilities to purchase refreshments inside the venue.
