Join us for an incredible weekend of Master Workshops with guest instructor Garry Portugal from NYC. 3 workshops will be offered trough the course of the weekend: Friday 7-8 pm Bachata Fusion Integrate the best of Sensual & Traditional Bachata. Learn traditional footwork you can play with in your dancing while still using the sexy and sensual moves with your partner. Sunday 11-12 pm Pachanga Fundamentals Learn the ultimate breakdown, movement & style to properly dance pachanga. Add flavor and finesse to your dancing. Sunday 12:15-1:15 Salsa Shines and turn pattern. Enhance your Leading and Following technique with turn patterns and shines that will have you dancing all night. Growing up with the influence of his Cuban roots he trained in many genres of dance including Latin styles, ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, hip-hop, hustle and west coast swing. With over 12 years of professional dance experience Garry performed on large stages including Madison Square Garden and had the honor and privilege performing for the U.S. President, Barack Obaman . His performance credits with Salsa superstars include Johnny Pacheco, Ismael Miranda, Cheo Feliciano, Eddie Palmieri, Jerry Rivera, La India, Eddie Santiago, Tito Rojas, El Gran Combo, Larry Harlow and his Latin Legends Band, and The Spanish Harlem Orchestra. He has been featured in congresses, festivals all over United States, and has traveled internationally to Canada, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Italy, Trinidad, Sweden, Japan and Great Britain to teach workshops and perform. Presently, Garry directs his dance company Los Pachangueros. Created in early 2012, Los Pachangueros have already been featured in numerous congresses and events both nationally and internationally.
