Our February event is going to be another outstanding night of dancing. Kick starting the night with our total beginners class at 6.30pm THIS SATURDAY and every month at SalsaUnity Events, we give Total Beginners to Salsa a chance to give it a go. We hold a class at 6.30pm every month and invite along Teachers and students that are excelling on the Salsa scene to share their love and passion to you all. This month we have Taisha Maneus from Dance Revolution Dance studio in Sheffield who has trained alongside Jaleh Fallah from Dance Revolution Dance School and @David Fenton from Mambo Collective, Taisha is an amazing dancer and she can't wait to see and teach the total beginners their very first mambo dance steps in Salsa. Total Beginners!....You don't need a dance partner, just pop along, you don't need any fancy clothes, just perhaps a leather sole shoe to glide a little. Its great fun, why not bring along a few friends and have a go, perhaps have a glass of wine and try your very first Salsa dance steps with us. About John & Emma John and Emma have been teaching salsa for 17 years. Today mostly known for teaching mambo On2 but In the early days they taught Cuban and Rueda. Later they transitioned to cross body On1 and now their weekly classes are taught On2. Giving them years of experience in all aspects of Salsa. They have also taught workshops in Pachanga and Cha cha. They have performed all over the U.K. both with their own choreography and student group. As well as part of other groups. They believe that good teachers should continue to learn and develop as dancers and spent 3 years learning from Adolfo Indacochea and Tania Cannarsa. Ensuring that the knowledge they pass on to their students comes from the very best in the world, no strangers to Yorkshire Salsa Congress either as some of our favourite teachers up here, can’t wait to see them both back in Yorkshire. We have a superb night of dancing ahead with DJ Julian Summers playing tunes through till 1am. Julian is a very popular DJ in the U.K. and overseas, he certainly will be keeping that dance floor busy…. Can’t wait to see Julian back up North. Restrictions for dance events have been lifted for events finishing before 1am, we ask that you take a LFT test before you attend but we won’t be asking you for evidence of this, we beleive now a element of trust between the dance community should now be upheld.
