Music from DJs and live bands who know what a true fast tempo is. 1920-30s jazz, New Orleans jazz, gypsy/guitar jazz, fast swing, 1950-60s rhythm & blues. ☆ STARRING ☆ 7.45pm – Bobcat & Salty Jitterbugs (DJ) 8.45pm till 11.00pm – Bottletop (LIVE) ☆ BOTTLETOP ☆ LIVE Singer and composer Adam Beattie leads his trio 'Bottletop' specialising in swing and blues with country and folk in the mix too. The band features Adam Beattie on vocals and acoustic guitar, Zac Gvirtzman on accordion/sax/clarinet and Piotr Jordan on violin. As well as some known swing era standards like Fats Waller's 'Crazy 'bout my baby' and Billie Holiday's 'Me, myself and I' the group also play versions of the works of more modern songwriters from Hank William's 'Lost Highway' to Tom Wait's 'Chocolate Jesus' to Leonard Cohen's 'A thousand kisses deep'. ☆ BOBCAT ☆ DJ SET Robert Goldie is a well known passionate Shag dancer and swing music collectionner. This night he is going bring some of the rare original vinyls from his exclusive collection. ☆ SALTY JITTERBUGS (KRYSTAL & ALEX) ☆ DJ SET Krystal (with Mexican rhythm in her veins) and Alex (with the fast tempo of his Russian heart) teamed up in London in 2016 as a formal dancing couple. Tonight they will play their favourite tunes as a DJ duo!
