Samba de Gafieira

Samba de Gafieira (also called Gafieira) is a partner dance to the Brazilian samba musical rhythms and must be distinguished from the ballroom Samba, danced in International Latin and American Rhythm ballroom dance styles. It appeared in the 1940s and it gets its name from the Gafieira – popular urban nightclubs of Rio de Janeiro at that time. Sometimes referred to as “the Brazilian tango,” samba de gafieira is danced to a quick-quick-slow or a slow-quick-quick rhythm. Pavel is holding his regular classes and workshops all over the Czech Republic (where he moved with his family at age of seven) and abroad. Successful performer and winner of Salsa Battle competition. He received the title of Master 2016 in Salsa. Pavel is incredibly passionate about music of all styles, especially Hip-hop culture. His dance is filled up with an amazing level of musicality and a combination of other dance techniques (Reggaeton, Dancehall, Hip-hop, Afro). His dancing journey began after elementary school when he started ballroom dances (standard and Latin American). Three years later, he discovered the "real" social dance world of Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, Kizomba, WCS, Samba de Gafieira and started to learn from the best teachers at international congresses, workshops, and private sessions. Now teaching himself, during his unique classes, you can learn the key techniques of movement, musicality, and connection!
