Samhain Ceremony

Cacao Ceremony, Gong Medicine and Ecstatic Dance. As we enter into the darkness, you are invited to gather for a magical evening of Cacao Ceremony, Dance and Sound Journey with Lila Lianna Rose and Pixi Pete. This turning of the season into the darker half of the year, also known as Samhain, Halloween or All Hallows Eve, is a rich festival and is such a potent time for diving deep into the mystery and for setting intention. It symbolises mid Autumn when the veil is thin between the seen and unseen worlds and is known as a powerful time for communicating with spirit. We welcome you to join us on a journey to connect deeply with our self, life and magic. 
While the trees loose their leaves, branches becoming bare, we contemplate what it is we want to let go of. As the nights are getting darker and we prepare for hibernation, we welcome the lessons and memories of the the summer and the ‘lighter half’ of the year and bring forward our personal harvests, the things that will keep us nurtured through the winter. What to expect: The evening will start with an opening circle to arrive and ground, followed by a beautiful Cacao ceremony with time for intention setting and singing. 
We will then flow into movement, using specially curated live and electronic music to facilitate play, embodied presence and deep letting go, welcoming all of ourselves to the dance floor.
We’ll then come to the floor and receive the medicine of the gong and sacred sound instruments, finally coming together to complete in a nurturing closing circle. We will have delicious homemade vegan soup and bread to share together and nourish the body before leaving. We will also be using the best Ceremonial grade cacao sourced from Ecuador, supplied by the wonderful Deya @Cacao Amor (Ceremonial Grade means extra care is taken in the process of its creation from fermentation to stone grinding it into paste, which ensures that all the beneficial bio-active compounds in the Cacao are optimised and not destroyed for all of its health benefits). As well as expertly DJing and facilitating an ecstatic dance, Peter incorporates his skills as a drummer to add live percussion to his sets; weaving beats and rhythms from a range of percussion instruments and is known for suddenly emerging onto the dance floor with his djembe to really get the crowd going wild. As for his music, Peter is well know for having his finger on the pulse for new and up and coming music, seamlessly blending a range of fresh and well known dance tracks, finding remixes and reworks that will pleasantly surprise you. Expect soul lifting melodies and deep tribal beats mixed in with some good bass sounds and a splash of nostalgia. Peter plays for festivals and events nationally and internationally and is a resident DJ for Ecstatic Dance U.K, Ecstatic Dance Bristol, Mind body Spirit Festival and Dance Medicine Glastonbury. She’s passionate about facilitating embodied transformational spaces, working with the power of sacred sound and free movement, voice expression and sacred ceremony. Lila has been holding private and group sessions for over 14 years, in the UK and internationally. These are in the form of sacred sound concerts as one half of the renowned Mantra duo, Illumina- in such venues as ‘Alternatives’ in Piccadilly, Cecil sharp House, and the Royal Academy of Arts amongst others. She’s also held many sacred cacao ceremonies, workshops, gong/sound baths and yoga retreats all over the country and beyond. Having observed a rapid quickening of the Divine Feminine awakening in our world in recent times, Lila has moved into facilitating deep, shamanic, and embodied ceremonial spaces, working with light language, medicine voice & drum and other sacred instruments.
