About this Event

San Diego Lindy Hop Workshop with Kelly and Andrew 📍 Infinity Dance Sport Center 7243 Engineer Rd B, San Diego, CA 92111 🗓 Saturday, February 3rd, 2023 ⏰ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Are you looking to work on your Lindy hop for 2024? Do you need new movement ideas, find new ways to practice, or help setting dance intentions for this coming year? Join Andrew and Kelly as they host a 3 class workshop on Saturday afternoon February 3 in San Diego! 🔸This will be a Lindy hop focused workshop geared towards upper intermediate to advanced dancers. 🔸No partner needed to sign up! ⭐️ Workshop and class overview! If you know Kelly and I, we aim for a fun and playful atmosphere in our classes, and we are hoping to bring some of that energy in this workshop. We’ll still be putting in lots of work to offer you some new perspectives and insights for your Lindy hop, but we’ll have fun doing it! Our first class we will work on rhythm focused connection to the music within some of our conventional Lindy hop figures. The second class will cover swing out technique, again with a focus on the rhythm and comfortable connection versus trying to create a “perfect” swing out. For the last class will be an opportunity to synthesize concepts from the previous classes. The intention will be to combine a sense of attentiveness to the rhythm and your partner, and taking ownership of your own movement. We think there will be a lot of value for dancers of various levels for this workshop, so we hope you’ll come dance with us this Saturday! ✨The whole workshop is $50, cash or Venmo only. Venmo: @kellzapoppin More about Kelly and Andrew: Kelly and Andrew have been dance partners for over 10 years, with over 25 years of swing dance experience between them.
