I’m thrilled to announce a NEW EVENT for Ecstatic Dance Charlotte called SANCTUARY IN MOTION starting once a month on Sunday Mornings. My next collaboration with DJ CORNFLOWER will be on Sunday, 5/18/25, as we come together to plant seeds of intentions for 2025 through the transformative power of dance. Meet DJ CORNFLOWER: Cornflower is a genre-bending vocal artist, live-looping musician, and sonic alchemist whose sound merges soul, groove, and improvisation. Blending elements of experimental vocal soul, world-funk, jam, and electronica, he creates modern mantra-like anthems that ignite movement and deepen presence. With influences spanning from Deep House icon Doc Martin to Phish, Liquid Drum & Bass founder LTJ Bukem to Michael Jackson, Cornflower’s music is a fusion of harmony and rhythm, weaving lush vocal layers into an immersive soundscape. He has shared stages with legends like Kenny Loggins, Michael Franti, Bobby McFerrin, Mike Love, Victor Wooten, Ayla Nereo, as well as luminaries such as Nassim Haramein, Gregg Braden, and Dr. Joe Dispenza. Intention Setting Please bring an altar item for our collective intention-setting ceremony. We will introduce ONE altar spaces for a deeper and more immersive experience dedicated to the following: Feminine: Honoring intuition, nurturing, beauty, and the cycles of life. Masculine: Celebrating strength, logic, action, and protective energy. Unity: Representing oneness, peace, and the beauty of diversity. This altar also honors our ancestors and the wisdom passed down through generations.
