An ecstatic and uplifting experience with the ways of mantra chanting with the social touch of a “conscious” party and cultural synthesis. From authentic Ayurvedic chai and fine incense presented in our “Bhakti Bazaar”, a small market place consisting of a few tables nicely decorated with imports from India and other crafts. What to expect: Bindis, facepaint, henna, chai, chanting, dancing and divine union with community and celebration. Dressing suggestions: Bindis provided, shawls, turbans, flashy eastern jewelry, bangles, eye liner, saris, dhotis, lungis/sarongs, pointed shoes, exaggerated mustaches, swords. Camel back riders park up outside to the left, palanquin riders to the right and magic carpet riders and welcome to fly right in. “A Yogi’s party/Bhakti party” THE LINE-UP Vijay Krsna, Kirtaniyas band leader has had experience engaging crowds in the ways of singing from the heart in Kirtan for over ten years. Jamil shares a modern storytelling groove with a traditional Americana folk sound that invites listeners from all walks of life to tune in and sing-along. It’s no wonder that from a tender age he was absorbed in Kirtan; whether humming, singing, listening to tapes on repeat, or tapping on any surface that made a beat, Vraj was in love. Before the pandemic Vraj was traveling the world, visiting ashrams, communities, and festivals, inspiring hearts to dance to the rhythm of his drum and sing to the lullaby of his voice.
