She combines many elements, learned from her vast variety of musical experience, to offer a truly innovative type of artistic expression. Her popularity with spiritually focused dance crowds comes from her unique hybridization of original production featuring her live vocals and flute playing with carefully selected inspirational dance tracks from various artists from around the world. Her performances flow from celestial grooves to tribal world rhythms to down tempo dance dub to collective ascensions to higher realms. Sasha is one of the most sought after dj's for Ecstatic Dance and Ecstatic Dance styled events throughout California and beyond. She has performed at over 40 such dances including multiple appearances at Ecstatic Dance Oakland, Dance Journey, and many others. Over the last 10 years Sasha has taken her live solo electronic show to festivals throughout the US including Symbiosis, Beloved Festival, Earthdance, Sonic Bloom, Enchanted Forest, Raindance Campout, Photosynthesis, and many more. She has guested with several electronic artists including Random Rab, Vibesquad, Mimosa, Anasia, Zilla, Eoto, J.Boogie, Lafa Taylor, Jamie Janover, Lynxand many others. She found a deep love and respect for the art and technique of Contact Improvisation through her studies with Kathleen Hermesdorf and Nancy Stark Smith. Shannon loves articulating the mechanics of weight sharing for those unfamiliar with the form and brings delight to the space with her unique ability to create safety while spicing things up with humor and spontaneity. She has also been a non profit program manager and events manager for many years. Katie combines her skills, interests, talents, and playfulness in order to create an inviting space and joyous experience for dance attendees. Sound Healing: Vlad Vlad is a versatile musician proficient in playing various instruments, such as the didgeridoo, drums, Native American flute, and jaw harp. With his captivating sound healing abilities and mystical talent, he transports listeners on enchanting journeys. Vlad has been playing the didgeridoo for over 25 years. Vlad's performances are not just music but immersive experiences that connect deeply with audiences. In addition to his public performances, Vlad offers private sound healing sessions tailored for individuals or groups. His sessions are designed to promote relaxation, healing, and a deeper connection to oneself. Vlad's dedication to his craft and his passion for music shine through in every note he plays. Since then she has been a chef and product developer for local healthy food companies like Urban Remedy and Good Earth. She is wholeheartedly happy to serve the Bay Area Dance Community in nourishing connection from within. When she is not playing with her food, Leela teaches Play based Authentic Relating & Connection Classes, Full & New Moon Circles for Womyn+, & Cacao Ceremony Soundbaths.
