__ Salsa dancing + Bachata dancing + beautiful beaches & restaurants -- What else can we ask for?!!! --- Save the date *** BRIGHTEN UP YOUR SATURDAYS WITH BACHATA & SALSA STARTS SATURDAY, APRIL 8TH @ 8 PM -- THE TANNERY ART CENTER with a Bachata Lesson from Hecto Cruz & Sierra Joy --- __ It's been a while since we had a salsa in Santa Cruz and we thought we make it extra especial by bring Bachata to the already growing salsa community here in beautiful Santa Cruz!!! __ The Intention of this event is to add more fun to our Saturdays with dancing lessons, fun friendships, and great music while learning to move to the rhythms of bachata, salsa dura, mambo, rumba, guaguanco, and cha cha cha. __ We would love to make this event once a month or more often and include food and healthy, organic, drinks on future events!!! __ Perhaps you are new to either salsa or bachata and have always wanted to learn how to dance either of these rhythms or both?! Great!!! I've invited a super fun and well experienced instructor from Monterey to guide you into the wonderful journey of Bachaata & Salsa!!! Hector Cruz has been teaching many for years salsa as well as performed on salsa congresses and brings a lot to our community. We know she is an awesome salsa and bachata dancer and are confident she is an awesome instructor as well!!! __ Furthermore, I'm putting together a super eclectic playlist out of my favorite vinyl collection for all of us to dance like there is no tomorrow!!! I'm researching a specific artist which I'll be featuring for this event and share the history behind her/his music. This is part of another project a couple of djs and I started called www.congabongoradio.com where will interview talented djs, artists, and vinyl collectors from around the world in order to document and enrich our lives with their kowledge about this wonderful music. In fact, we might have a dj from europe dj live through the radio station -- visit www.djomambo.com to keep in the loop with more updates. We've tested it at Blue Fin on our last event where we broadcasted live dj RumbaMex from Mexico City through the online radio station and it worked, so we hope to invite a new dj from europe to share his music from across the world -- we'll share more information as we receive it.
