Todays theme: STOMPIN' at the SAVOY! The final and finale to a now 3 Day SAVOY 100 HARLEM Community Celebration of culture that will help secure historic jazz and jazz dance culture of the Lindy Hop that Harlem is famous for.... Enjoy this afternoons film that will show you the energy and excitement Harlem had 100 years ago.... Get a good sense that its ultimately up to Harlem to get that back by uniting its world famous jazz to the world famous dance of the Lindy Hop. Our youth in the Harlem area are at risk of losing this cultural connection to these genres - and need to know that they can be future innovators. Learning about Chick Webb's life and journey....and the beginnings of the Legendary Savoy Ballroom will motivate and inspire us all. So join us to view this fantastic film, hearing our special guest panel!
